BUSINESS LITIGATION
The firm represents plaintiffs and defendants in disputes arising from business transactions, such as breach of contract.
Most of the firm's cases and clients are in San Diego, California. It accepts cases outside San Diego County when it can provide cost-effective representation to its clients.
EXCLUSIONS
The firm does not practice in the areas of criminal defense, plaintiff personal injury, immigration, environmental, tax, or workers compensation. It does not practice family law directly, but does consult with family law attorneys about bankruptcy issues.
BANKRUPTCY FOR INDIVIDUALS
Many Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases for individuals are handled on a flat fee basis. The exact fee is set after the client has made a detailed disclosure of his or her financial affairs, but these are typical ranges:
- Chapter 7 for a consumer: $2,300 to $2,700
- Chapter 7 for an individual engaged in business: $2,700 to $3,200
- Chapter 13 for a consumer: $4,100 to $4,600
- Chapter 13 for an individual engaged in business: $4,600 to $5,100
The Bankruptcy Court’s filing fee is not included in the flat fee.
There is no charge for the initial office consultation, up to one hour, for individuals considering filing bankruptcy. For other matters, the charge for the initial office consultation, up to one hour, is $150.
For flat fee bankruptcy matters, the flat fee and filing fee must be paid in full before the case is filed. For some clients with reliable income, part of the Chapter 13 flat fee can be paid through the plan following the bankruptcy filing.

Business litigation is handled on an hourly basis. Typical rates are $280 to $350 per hour.
